Outdoor Education Program
Our March Experiential Learning Program (MELP) is a signature week of exploration outside the classroom.  Among the 20 possibilities are trips to the Rio Grande, New Orleans, Washington DC, or making African drums, glass mosaics, and rowboats.  Rectory students have many opportunities to learn.

Our outstanding music department provides classroom instruction in music theory, music history, and musical experiences.  Students are also welcome to play in the marching band and take private piano or guitar lessons.

Hillcrest's graduates are prepared for the cultures in the world through the inter-cultural experience they have had at Hillcrest. Over 95% of Hillcrest's graduates move from the Castle to a four year University or college setting.
Boarding students enjoy campus all day long, from finding a quiet corner to study in to dropping into the fitness centre after dinner our dining hall.

Ojai Valley School is one of the few equestrian boarding schools in California with stables on both the middle and high school campuses, allowing students to walk from class to the barn to ride nearly every afternoon in place of sports or P.E. classes.  Our program welcomes riders of all levels.
