Over 80% of our students participate in Athletics. We have a certified Athletic Trainer on staff full-time to keep our students safe.
MPS offers 49 courses in the performing and visual arts taught by a faculty of active award-winning artists. The performing arts department at MPS has long been recognized as the top high school theater program in the region.   Students exhibit and perform year-round in the school’s nationally recognized musical theater, dance and choral groups. In addition to the performing and visual arts courses, MPS also offers students a wide variety of extracurricular programs.  These programs meet the interests of students, help them develop life skills, and make their College application more attractive.

Our outstanding music department provides classroom instruction in music theory, music history, and musical experiences.  Students are also welcome to play in the marching band and take private piano or guitar lessons.

La Lumiere offers 22 Varsity sports across a variety of programs including soccer, golf, tennis, basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, crew, lacrosse, cross country, and track and field. Because of our small size, all students have the opportunity to participate in athletics if they choose. Our students are competitive both in the classroom and on the fields and courts.

Each year students present two full-scale productions. In the fall of 2014, Canterbury Drama mounted 'A Midsummer's Night Dream.
Average class size is 16.  Student to teacher ratio is 8:1. Boarding Faculty to Student Ratio is 1:5
Weekend trip to the Renaissance Fair
Evening study halls keep students on track with homework and studying. On a daily basis, our dorm staff makes sure that students are putting forth an honest effort in their school work.
Academic achievement is high on the list of St. Bernard Prep priorities, with students consistently ranking above national and state averages in ACT and National Merit Exams.
Chaminade uses a traditional House System to foster relationships between all students, from all backgrounds.
