Great things happen at Hyde Schools Summer Sessions! Join us for an experience filled with fun and adventure— on our campuses, in the mountains and wilderness, on the coast or at sea.
Music, visual arts, theater, and dance are fully integrated into our curriculum and that means our girls are encouraged to express themselves creatively every day. We offer beginning through advanced levels in Instrumental Performance, Studio Art, Vocal Music, Music Composition, Dance, and Theater with passionate faculty members who are established artists in their own fields.
In the classroom, girls discuss everything from politics, health care reform, Asian poetry, and electric cars to Greek mythology and the symbolism in Sandra Cisneros's House on Mango Street. They test their theories in Advanced Placement Statistics, explore their curiosities in Graphic Design, and build their resumes in the real-world experiences of our Horizons program.
Idyllwild Arts Academy is home to 300 students from 27 countries and 26 US states, all devoted to intensive study of the arts. Located 2 hours from Los Angeles, 2 hours from San Diego, and 1 hour from Palm Springs, the Academy is an artistic crossroads for Southern California.
