  • Shattuck-St. Mary’s is a coeducational boarding and day school in Faribault, Minnesota, for students in grades 6-12. We offer the chance to pair the solid foundation of challenging, motivating academics with focused opportunities in athletics and the arts. This is what we call the “& Experience” and it is at the heart of what makes Shattuck-St. Mary’s so unique.

    Located just 45 minutes south of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul our 250-acre historic campus serves approximately 435 students from 39 states and 17 countries. Founded in 1858, Shattuck-St. Mary’s is one of the oldest college preparatory schools in the Midwest.

    With an average class size of 16, advanced coursework including 14 university credit classes, excellent college preparatory arts programs in theatre, dance, vocal, and instrumental music, we are committed to education at the highest level. The school's curriculum emphasizes maximizing effective student/teacher/parent communications and student-centered learning.

    Our centers of excellence include a nationally known Hockey Program, a Soccer Academy, a Figure Skating Program, an Honors Program, Theatre Arts, Dance, Vocal, and Instrumental Music programs, Pre-Conservatory Strings Program and a Center for Academic Achievement that provides resources for students with mild diagnosed moderate language-based learning disabilities and/or ADHD with average to above average cognitive abilities.
