School Notes:

  • Found in 1746, and with average scores of nearly 2000 in the SAT, 4.5 on AP Exams, and 715 on SAT Subject Matter Tests, Linden Hall is the oldest, and we believe the most academically accomplished boarding/day school for girls in the United States.
  • The school is located in the historic town of Lititz, Pa., an hour from Philadelphia and an hour and a half from Balitmore. The town is 7 miles north of Lancaster, Pa. and is serviced by bus, train and commercial airlines.
  • Linden Hall's philosophy maintains attention towards the whole girl - intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually.
  • Our thorough and personal College Counseling approach results in 100% acceptance to some of the nation’s finest schools.
  • On weekdays the girls pursue rigorous academic schedules, electives, extracurricular activities and evening studies. Weekends are balanced with relaxation, socializing, weekend trips and activities. Teachers serve as dorm parents and chaperones for dorm life, as well as for dances and special recreation, and cultural outings.
  • The teaching staff consists of 25 faculty members. The student-teacher ratio is 8:1. Beside the teaching staff, there are 30 other caring staff members who are part of the administrative staff, the maintenance and housekeeping staff, the dining hall staff and the riding staff. They all take special interest in and a caring attitude for each girl who attends the school.
  • The school is situated on 47 beautiful acres, two blocks from the town square of Lititz. The open, well-landscaped campus includes a modern 20-stall stable, indoor and outdoor riding areas, tennis courts, playing fields, and picnic areas. Indoor facilities include a new sports and fitness center with a dance studio and exercise room, a new arts center with a theater, gallery, art classrooms, kiln room, photography classrooms and a darkroom. The school's physical plant includes new modern buildings mixed among historic structures. The dormitories are between the classroom buildings and the dining room. All rooms are equipped with computer and internet connections. Linden Hall is truly a home away from home with girls from all over the world who become close "sisters."
