Fenster is a private, nonprofit, highly successful college preparatory boarding high school with the mission of getting all of our students to the University/College level. This year, as with last year, 100% of our graduating seniors were accepted into college. In addition to our regular college-bound students, Fenster School reaches out for students who have the intellect but are doing poorly in school and those who find it difficult to follow basic rules.

School Notes:
  • The Fenster School endeavors to help parents who have teens who are capable, but underachieving in school and also, in some cases, those who may not be following the rules at home.
  • Using our structured academic and behavioral systems, our goal is to see our students earn all the core credits necessary to gain acceptance to virtually all of our nation’s colleges.
  • Because parents need us at various times, we enroll students whenever necessary
  • Vital elements of our program are:
    • Weekly grade reports that are shared with parents, giving the school a powerful tool because student “perks” are granted based on effort, accountability and responsibility
    • Mandatory after school one-on-one teacher tutorials Monday through Friday as deemed necessary
    • Student to teacher ratio of seven to one
    • Self-esteem building via daily recognition about the accomplishments of our teenagers
  • An overwhelming majority of our students choose to make their lives at Fenster rewarding by responding in a positive manner
  • We offer:
    • College credit courses offered on campus. (Our 27 2009 seniors graduated with a total of 295 college credits.)
    • Expanded ESL program
    • Work with ADHD students
    • 150 acres rustic adobe campus adjacent to the exquisite Sabino Canyon and the Catalina Mountains
    • Top notch equestrian program, a ropes course, hiking and other outdoors programs.
    • School accreditations: TABS, North Central Accredation
