At Venta, we are focused on teaching the child, rather than delivering the curriculum. This can only be done in a small classroom, where the teacher can establish a personal relationship with each student. Many students are on individual programs depending on their strengths and weaknesses. In any given subject, it is not uncommon to have as many as three or four groupings per class.
The founding of Venta Preparatory School was the realization of a long-standing dream of our founder - Dr. Sidlauskas - to create an environment in which children could receive guidance and protection from distracting forces in order to develop to their highest potential. To this end Venta provides an enriched and engaging curriculum to sustain motivation and help our students to establish a strong work ethic and appropriate basic skills.
It is our belief that mainstream schools cannot provide individualized assistance to many bright children who, according to common wisdom, should be able to manage on their own.
As a boarder, your child will need a lot of one on one attention and he or she will get it. We spend quality time with our boarders so that we can address their individual needs. Your child's needs, as well as fears and hopes are our concern, from breakfast to lights-out. By living in our small boarding community, Venta boarders do not get overlooked and they develop friendships that will last a lifetime.
