  • UWCSEA is a member of the United World College movement, which comprises 13 non-profit colleges around the world. The school provides a challenging, holistic education with an emphasis on academic achievement, service to others, teamwork, environmental stewardship and leadership.
  • The College’s mission and values are actively integrated into the curriculum and the programme is carefully designed to combine age-appropriate, challenging experiences with academic rigor and creative opportunities in the personal education of every student. Students come to UWCSEA from different educational and cultural backgrounds. This rich diversity is respected and celebrated as sharing different perspectives is one of UWCSEA’s core values.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities including sports, music, drama and service options. The unique, three-tiered service programme supported by all students is an integral part of UWCSEA’s educational ethos. Part of this is the Global Concerns programme, which is designed to create an awareness of international development and environmental issues and is supported by students at every level.
  • The College offers a wealth of outdoor educational experiences, enhancing and enriching students’ classroom experiences with cross curricular teaching and opportunities for learning outside of the classroom. The outdoor education programme encourages each student to expand their horizons in age-appropriate expeditions, and from Grade 3 on all students participate in class expeditions outside Singapore.
  • UWCSEA now has two campuses in Singapore, offering additional students the chance to experience its life-defining educational opportunity.
  • The East Campus currently has 1400 Primary, Middle and High School places (Kindergarten 1 – Grade 10), and will expand its grade range to include Grade 11 in 2012. The school opened in a new facility in Tampines on the north eastern part of the island in August 2011. Boarding students in Grades 7 to 10 also joined the community in the newly opened boarding house. Programmes on offer include:
  • IB Primary Years Programme (K1 – Grade 5)
  • Middle School (Grades 6 to 8)
  • International General Certificate of Education (I)GCSE (for students commencing in Grade 9)
  • Foundation IB programme (for students commencing in Grade 10)
  • The two-year IB Diploma programme will commence in August 2012, with day and boarding students welcome to apply now to begin in Grade 11. Eventually the school will cater to over 2,400 students, including 120 boarders.
  • Dover Campus, which opened in 1971, has over 2,900 students from more than 70 nationalities and educates students from Kindergarten 1 to Grade 12 (ages 4 to 18), offering the same educational programmes as East Campus. There are over 180 boarders in Grades 7 to 12.
  • Dover Campus is one of the world’s largest IB Diploma schools. In May 2011, 100% of candidates achieved the IB Diploma, with the average score an excellent 36.74 points.
  • Both campuses are IB World Schools. Dover Campus is also a Round Square School.
