 Students enjoy an informal conversation about history with the Headmaster in his office. Thomas Army, a Civil War expert, teaches the eighth grade American History honors class. During morning assembly he talks about current events and encourages students to uphold the Rectory Creed: Responsibility, Respect, Honesty, and Compassion.

 Cadets receive personal attend by faculty and staff. At MMA we emphasize the importance of their academics and assist them in developing study skills, organization and time management. The Academy’s teaching staff is comprised of an experienced, diverse body of professionals dedicated to the intellectual and ethical development of each cadet. Indeed, our instructors, through their words and actions, promote academic achievement and character education on a daily basis. Over seventy percent of our teachers have their master’s degrees.

 One of Choate's six academic buildings, St. John Hall is home to the Mathematics & Computer Science Department and Choate's Summer Programs Office. Located in the heart of campus, St. John Hall is connected to Hill House which houses Deans' Row, the Dining Hall, dorm rooms, a common room, the Registrar and the College Counseling Office.
