The Greenwood School believes that when service and learning are strategically used as tools for self-growth, the results can profoundly shift how young people see themselves in the world. Greenwood boys have many opportunities throughout the year to volunteer their time and energy to local causes. During Spring Break students have the opportunity to travel to places like New Orleans to do community service work while learning about the area and the people they are helping. The community also models a commitment to giving; every Monday we eat a simple meal and donate the money that is saved to charities of the boys’ choosing. Furthermore, Greenwood’s summer program, called Connect, offers service learning trips throughout the country and abroad.
