Students race to put tanagram puzzles together in a contest during Headmasters' Week. The Headmasters' Society Competitions began in the winter of 2003, and will undoubtedly remain an integral part of community life. The whole school is divided into four teams, all named for past headmasters. The teams competed against each other in a variety of competitions, from a bake-off to a math competition to a doggy paddle race to tug-of-war to a talent show. It is a week of school spirit and friendly competition, surely a new Blair tradition!

Leadership is a point of discussion at other schools. At Hargrave, it is a point of practice. Hargrave's company commanders lead their company into competition with other companies in the academy. Gudion streamers indicate victory and a point of company pride.

Our beautiful campus is nestled in the Lakes Region of Central New Hampshire, providing an attractive environment for learning, whatever the lesson. Our dormitories are small (the biggest houses 18 students per floor, the smallest four), and a faculty member lives on each floor. We have four main academic buildings on campus, including the Hagerman Science Center, the Barbara Lawrence Alfond Library, the Carpenter Center for the Arts, and the Schoolhouse. Our campus spans over 600 acres, including eight large playing fields (including a new turf field), ten tennis courts, a covered artificial rink, and ten kilmeters of nordic ski trails. The Bartsch Athletic Center provides locker, shower, wall-climbing, and weight-training facilities, while the Gallop Athletic Center offers a basketball court/multipurpose arena, a ski preparation room, a fitness center, and two squash courts.

Boarding students live in dormitories on campus. There are nine dormitories—five boys' dorms and four girls' dorms. Resident staff live in end units of each dorm to provide a friendly, homey environment for students. Junior and senior students serve as dorm captains to help students learn to live and work well together and to create dorm parties and games.
