School Notes

AUP stands out from the typical boarding school in several ways:
  • Our strong students take advanced classes in a small group setting where they can customize and focus their studies on their area(s) of interest. In the end, students excel in landing scholarships and outstanding university placements.
  • Our daily schedule models a modern lifestyle. Students take core classes in the morning and the creative classes in the afternoon, including health and physical wellness. Then, before study hall, students have access to the thriving Downtown LA entertainment and cultural resources.
  • Through the Explore Academy, AUP students are leaders in urban stewardship. Located on the second floor, students advanced their skills in creative technologies and apply them to social issues in the DTLA Project, such as, homelessness, transportation, revitalization, security, and immigration.
  • Threaded throughout the boarding school and the urban setting students will gain an appreciation of their citizenship and ultimately be ready for college and the broader challenges of the world.
