On the weekends, and in the summer months, CCI organizes day trips to visit the 'Trabocchi' which are Turkish fishing platforms that are UNESCO protected heritage sites. These beautiful structures are only a 15 minute drive from Lanciano.
Lanciano, an ancient-yet-modern city of 45,000 in the Central region of Abruzzo. CCI strives to provide nutritious meals to the school community and takes full advantage of the local, organic agricultural resources. Lanciano is surrounded by agricultural fields that produce organically grown fresh fruits and vegetables almost year round within a ten kilometre radius of the Town. During the winter months, some produce is grown in greenhouses but most of the fruits
These are the front doors to the main entrance of the School building. During WW2, this structure was the Headquarters for Canadian Troops. The School building is also a residence and CCI occupies multiple floors within this ancient structure.
CCI girls are housed in the Town's oldest Inn, The Allegria.  It is  a charming 525 year- old inn where the students also enjoy their dinners in the main floor dining hall. This residence also housed the girls in the very first year of the school in 1995.  The residence has ten rooms on the second floor, each with their
CCI Boys reside on the top floor of the school building on Via Cavour; the residential portion is accessed by a door at the back of the school. The accommodations for the boys vary in size although they are mostly double rooms and the boys share bathroom and laundry facilities. There is a common room equipped with a full kitchen

    About Us Canadian College Italy is a university-preparatory, co-educational boarding high school located in the ancient but modern Italian town of Lanciano, in the province of Abruzzo.  The School offers a culturally rich and academically challenging curriculum for students in Grades 10, 11 and 12. It has been operating in Italy since 1995.  CCI debuted among Europe's private schools as the first Canadian school in Italy to offer an independent high school program. Operating under the supervision of the Ontario Ministry of Eduction, CCI prepares students for entrance into universities in the U.S.A., U.K., Canada and Europe. Since its founding, our boarding school in Europe has grown to be a unique source of English-language private school education for both Canadian and International students.Mission To provide a unique environment in which students experience a renaissance: academically, socially and culturally.
