College & Lycee Saint Charles is a selective international school with a majority of day students and five-day boarders who complete the Swiss Matura curriculum.
Seven-day boarders whose families live overseas traditionally follow the MYP and IB Diploma curriculum in English.
Since 1897, College Saint Charles is an ideal blend of historical tradition and time honored educational best practices mixed with modern innovation that every student needs to thrive. All of our students study two languages (French and English most commonly) but we also offer Greek, Latin, German, Italian and Mandarin.
A private tutor handles daily homework with each student.Located in the beautiful town of Porrentruy, Switzerland, the school is situated in the heart of Europe providing a safe, small town feel with easy access to the riches of Europe (Paris is 2 hours by train). Saint Charles welcomes students ages 10-18 into classes of 10 students in each class. This provides students the individualized attention to reach their full potential under the guidance of teachers who know them personally to care for their social and emotional wellbeing in addition to their academic achievement. Our bright modern classrooms allow students to access technology to become citizens of tomorrow: connected, informed and adaptable.
Students join Saint Charles as day school students or as five or seven-day boarding students housed in our state of the art, comfortable accommodations. Our campus also includes an indoor swimming pool and a 200-seat cinema.

  • We offer Primary, Secondary and High School to our students.  Primary students study the Swiss Curriculum and have lessons in French and English with German being offer 5 hours a week.  In Secondary school, students primarily study in French with English and German being taught as well and we offer various high school programs.  We offer a bilinguale French/English matura diploma (the Swiss Diploma) and the IB Diploma taught in English.
