1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
Monte Vista Christian School has an absolutely beautiful campus that provides secure, educational setting for every student. Teachers are truly life-time mentors, praying for you before/after school. Students mature not only physically and mentally, but also spiritually and morally. The school also has a wonderful curriculum that prepares for any level of college; students are challenged academically while in high school through its vigorous curriculum.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
Every moment at Monte Vista Christian School was more than awesome. I will send my kids there too, because I know that they will grow and mature in so many ways in the safe place, Monte Vista.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
Challenge and Learn!
4.) What did you like most about your school?
The people there (students, faculty, and everyone)!
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
You won't regret. You will love the beautiful campus, teachers, your peers, everyone.
1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
SUPERB academic curriculum, preparing students extremely well. Teachers and classmates have rigorous debates and share their thoughts and ideas at any time. Students can spend their lunch/dinner time with the faculty members, learning at any moment while in high school. The curriculum is sometimes too tough yet surely makes academics of any level of college far easier.
1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
The boarding program is excellent, providing various trips to many big cities in Northern California, including San Francisco, San Jose, Monterrey, Carmel, etc. Boarding students enjoy a variety of activities outside/inside the campus. You will have a lot of fun!! The school has so many clubs that you can find just about any club of your interest, and if you want to make a club, the faculty will support you. The Music Program is superb - one of the most best music programs in California, winning numerous awards. Students can find any activity of their interests easily.
1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
Brotherhood and Diversity. Students from all over the world live together, constantly learning from others about their cultures, languages, lifestyles, and so forth. I learned to cope with and understand others while living in the dorm!! Dorm supervisors are super helpful and awesome.
1.) Describe the school's town and surrounding area.
Probably, one of rare setbacks. The school is stuck in the middle of nowhere, making it hard to get somewhere enjoyable to hang out.
2.) Describe the social life at your school - what did you like most about it?
You can make a lot of friends easily, since it is a relatively small community.
