Reflections and Advice:

1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
Ben Lippen School takes international students to both American churches and churches that preach in their native languages. It is a great way to help international students to learn more about American culture and get to know more people. It helps to promote them to speak more English. Going to churches that are established by people from their countries help these international students to feel more connected with home.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
The best thing that happened to me at my high school was that I became a Christian there and got to know teachers and friends that changed my life. I matured a lot at Ben Lippen. My worldview was changed and matured at Ben Lippen School.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
Be prepared to accommodate to others' living habits and school rules. It is a great chance for students to learn how to live with strangers and resolve conflicts. It's a great preparation of college life.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
The faculties. The teachers there really loved upon their students. They will make great efforts to help you in both life and academic areas. They sincerely care about the students.
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
Get to know your teachers really well, because you can become great friends with them. They have so much wisdom and wonderful advice. Columbia International University's library is a great place to study.

Academics:

1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
There are many different difficulty levels of courses that you can pick from. Our high school campus is on the university campus. If you ever feel like challenging yourself or take a class that is not offered at the high school, you can take a class at Columbia International University. It's a five minutes walk to class. I took two classes at Columbia International University while I was a student at Ben Lippen. Higher levels of academic courses can be challenging and competitive, but students are always friendly to each other. Teachers are always there to help as well.

Athletics:

1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
I was not involved in any athletics program at Ben Lippen, so I did not know much about it.

Art, Music, and Theatre:

The school band organizes many fun activities. You get to go to most of the games, and the director took students to other cities for performance and visit every year as well.

Extracurricular Opportunities:

1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
School mandates students to do volunteer work every semester. Student can establish their own club quite freely.

Dorm Life:

1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
Two people live in the same room and four people live in the same suite. You get to know the girls in the same dorm really well. The school chooses your roommate and the dorm for you. The dorms are pretty much the same though.

Dining:

1.) Describe the dining arrangements at your school.
We dine at the Columbia International University's cafeteria. Both the quality and diversity of food is amazing. They try to provide some type of food from different countries every day. You get to know some college students as well.

It's very quiet and safe. We live on an university's campus.
