Ridley College - Review #7

It had a great sense of community on my first day I felt right at home. Everyone was really welcoming the teachers set out to make sure that we were all well included. The dorms were great and my roommate was amazing, but overall I did not return because the move from home was too much for me. Though I would definitely recommend for perspective students to give it a try.

The best thing about boarding school was the friendships I made that shaped me to become the person I am today. I didn't get injured once in a soccer game the entire season which is a miracle because I'm pretty clumsy. Making the decision to go made me get out of my comfort zone. So don't think just do it.

Talk to more people and everyone is just as nervous as you are. Plus, if people are mean you have to remember that they are human. As a result, sometimes we latch out when something is going wrong in their lour lives. It's not just our personalities.

The freedom to try something different and challenging everyday.

I was challenged to keep pushing my self. At my previous school I felt like the teachers never really to the time to inspire me and at Ridley I was inspired to be a better student by becoming part of a community that strives for excellence.

The soccer team was one of my favourite memories from my away games with my teammates it gave us a real sense of sisterhood.

The school encouraged us to participate but like I said not my cup of tea but I did like painting.

Study groups are a heaven send because it was away to apply the knowledge gained from our lectures and apply them to our real world problems.

My roommate was the best! I recommend opting for a roommate because it gives you the chance to make a friend and also join in the house bonding events those are fun.

I love food and Ridley knows how to do it right. I like my options and they know how to give you options.

When we did venture out to town on out weekend trips it was the best time because we got to meet locals and gain a deeper understanding of the culture which was amazing.

Let's face it school is school. So there are always going to be people who make you want to go back to the comfort of your home. Though, once you learn to just be happy for with who you are the rest melts away. Overall, people were nice, but there were some characters that played minor roles towards my dissatisfaction.
