Notes for Prospective Students

To apply to The Bement School for the 2025-2026 academic year, a student must complete and submit: an application, application fee, writing sample (grades 6 - 9), teacher recommendations (English and Math for grades 6 - 9), Transcripts/School Reports (current year, as well as two years prior), including all standardized test scores. Additionally, applicants are required to submit recent standardized testing scores from within the last 12 months. We prefer the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). We must receive an official score report. Students, for whom English is not their first language, must also take and submit results of the TOEFL Junior. For students who have been studying in an international school for several years or attending a school where English is the primary language used in instruction, may have this requirement waived.
