Fay School values the arts as a part of each student's educational experience. From Pre-Kindergarten through grade nine, students engage in music, visual art, and drama instruction led by experienced practitioners who build upon the innate creativity and curiosity within each child and allow them to give artistic expression to emotions and ideas.
Rectory students have the opportunity to participate in a multitude of activities. Academic success is enhanced by achievements on the athletic fields, in the art studio, and on stage.
Canterbury offers students many opportunities for community service. Each summer a group of students spend a week volunteering in Lourdes, France. Students have also volunteered in Nicaragua and Puerto Rico.
The Holbrook Arts Center not only houses studios for dance, ceramics, two-dimensional study and music, but it is also home to the Warner Gallery, a photography suite, practice rooms, lecture hall, classrooms and offices. At its center is the 325-seat Chelsea Morrison Theater.
140-acre campus
The Hirst Library holds over 20,000 volumes and is part of the network of Southern Minnesota Libraries (including the Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota).  Students come to study, research, or just play a quiet game of chess.
