Reflections and Advice:
1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
Albert felt different from the start. It wasn’t just that teachers knew your name, it was that they cared about your choices. For me, the guidance from Mr. Vasquez stands out. He listened to my questions about post-secondary, about whether accounting was the right path, and gave me the tools to make that decision for myself. That mix of freedom and support is what makes Albert unique.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
The highlight for me was realizing I wanted to pursue accounting and finance. Mr. Vasquez’s guidance shaped that decision.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
I’d try more activities outside academics, because those experiences build character too. My advice for new students is don’t focus only on grades because you will later realize that relationships matter as much.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
I liked the people most. Teachers and friends made the experience meaningful.
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
Spend time in the library. It’s quiet but full of energy. Also, join at least one event you’re unsure about, you might surprise yourself.
Academics:
1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
I was more toward math and business classes. They were structured and demanding, but teachers gave room for exploration. In economics, for example, we didn’t only work through models but we also applied them to real issues. That approach made me more confident about heading into accounting and finance at Waterloo.
Athletics:
1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
I played soccer during my time at Albert. The level wasn’t professional, but it was competitive enough to make practices meaningful. What I liked was the mix of serious training, but also laughter and encouragement at the grounds.
Art, Music, and Theatre:
1.) Describe the arts program at your school - what did you like most about it?
I wasn’t directly involved, but I attended shows and exhibitions. Seeing peers perform gave me respect for the effort behind the scenes. The arts community was lively for a school size like we had, and even as a spectator you felt included.
Extracurricular Opportunities:
1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
I participated in fundraising events and school-wide activities. Organizing bake sales, for example, might sound small, but it required planning, teamwork, and patience. These were small lessons with long-term impact.
Dorm Life:
1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
Dorm living taught me organization. Having set routines for study and rest helped me focus. Sharing with others wasn’t always easy, but it built patience and communication skills I still rely on.
Dining:
1.) Describe the dining arrangements at your school.
Food was consistent. My favorite memory was themed dinners, which broke routine and added excitement. Eating together became more about community than the meal itself.
Social and Town Life:
1.) Describe the school's town and surrounding area.
Belleville was safe and manageable. Small cafes and the waterfront gave breaks from school life. It was calm compared to big cities, which helped me focus.
2.) Describe the social life at your school - what did you like most about it?
The friendships I made were the strongest part of Albert. People came from everywhere, so conversations were always interesting. Social events, from dances to casual evenings in dorms, kept us connected.

Description
What struck me first about Albert was its quiet strength. It didn’t show off, but it committed. The school expected you to grow not because you were forced, but because everyone around you looked for. . .
When I look back on Albert College, the thing that sticks out isn’t the grades or the exams. It’s the feeling of being noticed. Albert is small enough that people pay attention, but big enough. . .
When I arrived at Albert, I had lived in the same community for years. At Albert, I first experienced what it means to be pushed beyond comfort zones. The school is small enough that your. . .
