Reflections and Advice:

1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
I was an outsider kid from St Louis and the Willy culture was wildly accepting and rich. Academics were strong and the support was always there. The place was absolutely special and I still stay in contact with my classmates. Thrilled I chose the school.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
Two things. The faculty was so committed to my success. I found my passion and skill for creative writing because of my teacher. Secondly, the culture of the school was super well rounded between creative kids, sporty kids, elite students, and all in a supportive and open feel.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
Try everything. So many incredible opportunities and trying everything (theater, ski team, water polo, hockey, history club with trips to Boston, so so many experiences that exposes to the most broad selection of people and relationships.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
Two things. The faculty was so committed to my success. I found my passion and skill for creative writing because of my teacher. Secondly, the culture of the school was super well rounded between creative kids, sporty kids, elite students, and all in a supportive and open feel.
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
I was in Ford Hall Dorm so I was a sporty kid living with all the creative kids….perfectly diverse experience and relationships I will never forget.

Academics:

1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
Intense academics but 100% access and support from Ivey League faculty during 3 hour study halls.

Athletics:

1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
Unusually strong sports because the coaching was excellent. Facilities were top notch.

Art, Music, and Theatre:

1.) Describe the arts program at your school - what did you like most about it?
Theater, photography, and arts blew me away. I wasn’t into the arts but there were So many creative students.

Extracurricular Opportunities:

1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
I just remember there was so little down time because everyone was involved with something most of the time. It’s also a large enrollment, 450 I think, so the clubs and extracurriculars were robust and well staffed.

Dorm Life:

1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
Two big dorms then super charming colonial houses for those wanting a smaller family feel.

Dining:

1.) Describe the dining arrangements at your school.
The food was good. Tons of choices.

Social and Town Life:

1.) Describe the school's town and surrounding area.
Easthampton and Northampton were incredibly charming with plenty of coffee shops and restaurants because Smith and Amherst Colleges were there. Classic New England towns. Also Mount Thom ski mountain was a ten minute drive, and Boston was an 80 minute bus ride.
2.) Describe the social life at your school - what did you like most about it?
There was always plenty to do because Northampton was a real mid size town with tons of action on weekends and groups of students would go into Boston monthly.

Williston was the best community I could've ever established an identity with. My parents teach at the school, so we actually had a house on the campus. I developed close relationships with not only. . .
