Holderness School is dedicated to helping young men and women who seek a personal and caring as well as a challenging educational environment to achieve their full potential for leading a meaningful and productive life in accordance with the central values and practices of the Judeo-Christian tradition. It aims to foster for each of its students a mature sense of physical and intellectual energy, an enduring capacity for responsible leadership, and a firm moral vision. Holderness is committed to vigorous and independent intellectual inquiry within the broad scope of a challenging liberal arts curriculum, to comprehensive athletic and outdoor activities, to school and community service, and to close personal bonds between faculty and students.
