Music, visual arts, theater, and dance are fully integrated into our curriculum and that means our girls are encouraged to express themselves creatively every day. We offer beginning through advanced levels in Instrumental Performance, Studio Art, Vocal Music, Music Composition, Dance, and Theater with passionate faculty members who are established artists in their own fields.
VVS has a very diverse equestrian program, offering horseback riding - competitive and recreational - in either Western or English styles.
Culver's athletic facilities include: Golf Course (Nine holes), Polo Arena, Crew Sheds, two Ice Hockey Rinks, an 8 Lane Pool, Diving Tank, 14 Outdoor Tennis Courts, 6 Indoor Tennis Courts, State of the Art Fitness Center with Trainers, 6 Indoor Basketball Courts, Fencing Facility, Free Weight Room, Softball Field, Baseball Field, Lighted Football Field, Lighted Soccer and Lacrosse Fields.
La Lumiere offers 22 Varsity sports across a variety of programs including soccer, golf, tennis, basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, crew, lacrosse, cross country, and track and field. Because of our small size, all students have the opportunity to participate in athletics if they choose. Our students are competitive both in the classroom and on the fields and courts.
The Forman Green is at the center of campus life. Surrounded by dorms and faculty homes, it reflects the traditional charm of an historic New England community.
