String Ensemble At Boarding Schools
- There are 10 boarding schools offering string ensemble as an extracurricular activity.
Alumnus of the School, Adam Pistel (Suffield class of 2008) weaves his way through the defense. Adam was recently named to the WNEPSAC All Star Team.
Students experience hands-on learning in the Biology, Chemistry and Physics labs. Extracting glowing DNA from a jellyfish, measuring lung capacity or building a working knee joint are all possibilities in Ridley College classrooms. Lab experiments prepare students for university.
Weekend activities are planned by both students and the Residential Faculty. These activities expose the students to various opportunities in and around the Bay Area. Past activities have included ski trips, rockclimbing, sea kayaking, surfing, museums, concerts, camping, shopping, movies, bowling, beach trips, and pro or college sports games.
Saint Mary's School, established in 1842, is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory boarding and day school for girls in grades 9-12 in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is the fourth oldest girls' boarding/day school in the United States.
With a student to teacher ratio of 7 to 1, La Lumiere students enjoy a level of personalized attention that simply does not exists at larger schools. Since 80% of our faculty live on campus, they are not only your teachers, but your coaches, dorm parents, advisors and study hall proctors.
