South Kent School is a leader in educational technology, with a 1-to-1 iPad program and 99% e-textbook adoption rate.
Students participate in Affinity Groups: Call to Explore, Call to Service and Call to Adventure. In the Call to Explore, students participate in the arts and explore their creativity.
At the Center for Innovation, boys delve into the concepts of Applied Technology, Communication and Human Expression, and  Stewardship through action and inquiry. Here, a student helps build a timber-frame classroom building. The mission of the Center for Innovation is to teach students sustainability, resilience, and wholeness through the spheres of Sustainable Design, Sustainable Earth and Sustainable Community.
South Kent's basketball team has risen to national prominence with highly successful teams and student-athletes who have gone on to play at some of the top universities around the country as well as professional leagues.
Hockey is a long held tradition at South Kent. The school's four teams call the state-of-the-art Admiral James & Sybil Stockdale Arena home. Selects Academy at South Kent School has participated in the National tournament for the past two years, as one of the top 16 teams in the nation.
The South Kent soccer team has had great success in the last several years, winning the New England Championship six times in eight years and moving many players on to top college programs around the country as well as professional leagues. Additionally, the team's 2013-2014 captain was part of the All-American team in 2014.
