In this supportive environment steeped in Catholic values, students are comfortable taking risks, trying something new and learning more about the individual throughout their Villanova experience.
Over 80% of our students participate in Athletics. We have a certified Athletic Trainer on staff full-time to keep our students safe.
Service trips are a large part of Prep's Jesuit identity. Students fulfill service hour requirements each year and can travel to such places as New Orleans, South Dakota, Dominican Republic and many other places with classmates.
Boarding students finish their school year with a weekend away camping and white-water rafting on the American River.
Canterbury swimmers practice in the William W. Higgins ’53 Aquatic Center, an eight-lane, 25-yard competitive swim and dive pool. Dedicated in 2008, it is the finest swimming, diving, and water polo venue in New England.
La Lumiere's Science Olympiad program is competitive on a yearly basis and offers students an opportunity for hands on research and experience in a variety of fields, including: Engineering, Forensic Science, Robotics, Biology, Chemistry, Aeronautics, and many more. In existence for 23 years, we have competed at the state level for 22 years consecutively.
Many co-curricular activities are offered including theater/drama, math team, chess club, speech team, National Honor Society, and several others.
St. Catherine's strives to nurture in each student an awareness of God and a sense of moral responsibility.  We welcome boys of all faith traditions and respect the religious beliefs of all members of our school community.
MPS offers 49 courses in the performing and visual arts taught by a faculty of active award-winning artists. The performing arts department at MPS has long been recognized as the top high school theater program in the region.   Students exhibit and perform year-round in the school’s nationally recognized musical theater, dance and choral groups. In addition to the performing and visual arts courses, MPS also offers students a wide variety of extracurricular programs.  These programs meet the interests of students, help them develop life skills, and make their College application more attractive.
