Community is important. Our students have many opportunities to build community through service, retreats, homecoming, sports, clubs, and activities.
College Day
Part of Stevenson's mission is to help students 'shape a joyful life.' Even doing the laundry can be fun when you are in good company.
Krone Library is home to countless resources and study spaces for IAA students as well as the College Counseling Office. Our College Counseling staff work with our students throughout their time at the Academy, helping them prepare for the next step in their artistic journey.
With a student-to-faculty ratio of 10:1, students can receive personal attention and specialized instruction.
After a day of community service in San Francisco, our boarding students find some time to relax at the Beach.
Team sport offerings include football, volleyball, cross-country, tennis, basketball, soccer, track and field, lacrosse, and baseball. Students can also choose to participate in yoga, dance, rock climbing, and riding.
Excellence in academics stems from passionate teachers, a challenging curriculum, a motivating and structured learning environment, and positive role models. 

Our Faculty members are Gurian Institute-trained to use teaching methods that work specifically for boys. This includes interactive lessons, lots of movement, team-building exercises, and more.
FLEX BOARDING: Inspired by a popular British tradition, SD also offers a part-time residential life program we call Flex Boarding?' wherein students spend Monday through Friday with us, their on-campus family, and then return home for weekends.
