Notre Dame International High School provides bilingual, college preparatory academics to students in grades 9 through 12 and is made up of international students from all over the world. The school introduces an exciting opportunity for non-French speakers to learn the French language and culture while attending an American curriculum held in English.
Although community service hours are not required at Webb, many of our students voluntarily choose to participate in one or more of our numerous service activities. In the past few years, our students have traveled to Costa Rica, Thailand, Romania, Australia, Nepal, Fiji and three countries in Africa on service trips.
Through the Colwell Center for Global Understanding at St. Johnsbury Academy, our students are exposed to many opportunities to travel abroad.
Windermere Preparatory School hosts unrivaled athletic facilities including a swimming pool, gymnasium, weight room, track, athletic courts & fields, and Sports Performance Center.
Virginia Episcopal School's campus, on 160 beautiful acres with hiking and biking trails, is 15 minutes from the vibrant downtown of Lynchburg, VA, and 1/2 hour to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Starbucks, restaurants and shopping are a quick two miles away.
SEM students can express their creative side in the skylit art room, or the digital art and photography classroom. Musical expression finds space in either ensemble, glee club or SEMACHORDS, our acapella group. We also have a fall and spring play in our black box theater and host the ESU Shakespeare competition.
Teamwork, dedication, and sacrifice are key components of our athletic programs. Participation in athletics promotes good health but also teaches invaluable life lessons. Through athletics, students learn to develop confidence, self-discipline and leadership skills while learning the value of collaboration. Athletics allow students the opportunity to work together in accomplishing defined goals.
The San Domenico Dance department offers an in depth training program in ballet, modern dance, jazz and choreography with professional master teachers and choreographers. The four-year program offers opportunities to explore dance from the beginning to the advanced level. Courses may include homework such as, journaling, book reports, field trips, performance critiques, resumes, biographies, grant proposals and choreography.
Weekend activities are planned by both students and the Residential Faculty. These activities expose the students to various opportunities in and around the Bay Area. Past activities have included ski trips, rockclimbing, sea kayaking, surfing, museums, concerts, camping, shopping, movies, bowling, beach trips, and pro or college sports games.
The entire school gathers daily for sit-down meals in Marion Hall. This architecturally stunning facility allows for students and staff to share a family-style dining experience.
