Reflections and Advice:
1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
I can definitely say that Kings offers tons of high-quality extracurricular activities. The sports, clubs, and organizations all give the students the opportunity to meet real professionals in the field they want to explore, and develop a strong foundation in areas that are extremely competitive (such as cinema, business, theater, law, etc...).
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
I think it is hard to condense my two years into a few words, but if I had to summarize, the friendships I made, the experiences I was able to live, and the academic knowledge I accumulated were probably the best things that happened to me in boarding school.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
If I could do anything different, it would be to probably get a little bit more involved with school and take even more advantage of the tools and opportunities the schools provided to me.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
At the end of the day, the biggest difference between schools is definitely the people inside them. With Kings, I've always noticed that the majority of staff, teachers, and classmates had positive intentions and personalities, and for me, that was the biggest differencial.
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
Enjoy! Time goes by quickly, and when you blink you will be already graduating.
Academics:
1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
I loved the amount of class options we had to choose from, and the fact that the teachers had the knowledge and capacity to help me even in high-level classes such as AP physics.
Athletics:
1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
I think the best thing about the athletic program is the structure the school has to assist you physically and mentally. Also, the social inclusion is a good extra since I was welcomed by my team mates and met a lot of friends.
Art, Music, and Theatre:
1.) Describe the arts program at your school - what did you like most about it?
I was more involved with the film part, and honestly, King's gives you the best equipment and professionals in the whole industry to make sure you can produce quality and impactful content.
Extracurricular Opportunities:
1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
As stated in the other question, I think the extracurriculars can set you ahead for college, and even professionally. All the clubs and volunteer opportunities add great value to your skill sets and are fun at same time.
Dorm Life:
1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
I think the greatest part about King's dorm life is the fact that you are living in a real American house with your friends, not in the conventional "cold" dorm experience. This was really important for me, especially in the beginning since it made the adapting process easy and quick.
Dining:
1.) Describe the dining arrangements at your school.
The food at King's is great, and you always have different options in case you have any alergies.
Social and Town Life:
1.) Describe the school's town and surrounding area.
Palm Beach is a great town with tons of good restaurants, activities, and of course, the beach. The school is decently located, about 15 minutes from downtown.
2.) Describe the social life at your school - what did you like most about it?
Other than being able to connect with cultures from all over the world, in my senior year I had the opportunity to become closer to local Americans and immerse myself more in their world. Now, even after leaving the school, I'm still in touch with the friends I made there, and I often talk to teachers and staff.
