Reflections and Advice:
1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
I attended the Kings Academy for my 11th grade and had the best experience! The international program at Kings is phenomenal. I always felt safe and had people to support me (if needed). I got to experience the American lifestyle while also learning a lot at school. King’s offers such a wide program (law, medicine, and engineering…). The set up of the campus is also amazing. Every building is modern and they have so much equipment to learn with.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
I can’t say that there is only one “best thing” that happened last year. Some of them were:
- swimming
- my host family
- the international program
- finding faith
4.) What did you like most about your school?
the variety in options kings offers
5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
Don’t stress, Kings is great
Academics:
1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
I loved the medicine program. Coming from a school where they only offer basic classes like chemistry, physics, math, etc., that was something completely new for me. I loved it! Since I wanna study medicine later, I got to get a small hint of how that gonna be. All the teachers are super nice and you feel safe in every classroom.
Athletics:
1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
Kings offers a huge athletics program and there is something for everyone. I did swimming for the whole year. It was super convenient that the pool was on campus and you didn’t have to go somewhere else. My coaches were one of my favourite people I met throughout my year at kings and just the people you meet at your sport and the friendships you make are amazing. Kings always supports you with any physical challenges or injuries which is important for an athlete to perform well.
Art, Music, and Theatre:
1.) Describe the arts program at your school - what did you like most about it?
I personally am not an art person. However visiting the shows and seeing all the art works my fellow students created, I was amazed. The facilities are insane and the diversity that is within the art program is so wide.
Extracurricular Opportunities:
1.) Describe the extracurriculars offered at your school - what did you like most about it?
If you are not interested in sports or theatre, kings also offers a lot of other opportunities to do something at school. They offer amazing bible groups in which you can learn a lot about faith and finding jesus.
Dorm Life:
1.) Describe the dorm life in your school - what did you like most about it?
I didn’t live in a dorm but in a host family. However, having friends in the dorms and visiting them sometimes, I always had a lot of fun. The dorm parents are amazing and they always make sure that you have enough to eats and feel safe in your room.
Dining:
1.) Describe the dining arrangements at your school.
Kings dining is so versatile and big that everyone can find something. You can choose between healthy salads, fast food or sweets.
Social and Town Life:
1.) Describe the school's town and surrounding area.
Well there is not much right around kings but if you drove down to west palm beach’s down town you were able to see a lot of beautiful buildings, go out to eat or go shopping at rosemary square.
2.) Describe the social life at your school - what did you like most about it?
Most of the students were very welcoming and nice. The teachers ere all amazing and being a part of the international program, I always knew that I had people to go to.
